After a decent opening day with the earning of 4.7 crores, Sonam Kapoor’s Neerja witnessed superb growth on the second day. The movie saw a big growth of around 60% and collected 7.6 crores on Saturday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted-

Released on only 700 screens, the movie is performing exceptionally well in multiplexes and metros like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, and Pune.
The movie is driving on solid WOM and superb reviews from the critics. The movie is expected to register big numbers today as the advance booking reports are solid.
We are expecting the movie to have a 20+ crores weekend, which is fabulous considering the low budget (21 crores) and constraint release. Neerja will surely will one of the biggest hits of Sonam Kapoor’s career. The movie will establish Sonam Kapoor as a good actress in Bollywood, something which she was looking for a long time.
“Neerja” is based on the real-life story of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life to save the passengers of the hijacked Pan Am Flight 73. Directed by Ram Madhvani, the movie stars Sonam Kapoor as Neerja, Shabana Azmi as her mother Rama and Shekhar Ravjiani as her love interest.
