Neerja 1st Week Collection – Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Neerja’ had an excellent opening week with the collection of 35+ crores.
Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi starrer Neerja had an excellent opening week at the domestic Box Office. After a superb opening weekend with the collection of 22.01 crores, the movie remained strong throughout the weekdays and collected more than 13 crores from Monday to Thursday. As per the early reports, Neerja collected 2.9 crores on the 7th day to take the first-week collection figure to 35+ crores.
The 1st week collection of Neerja is second highest of 2015 behind Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’. The movie has beaten the first-week figures of big budget movies like ‘Ghayal Once Again’, ‘Fitoor’ and ‘Wazir’.

The movie is performing exceptionally well in multiplexes and metros like New Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Released on around 700 screens last week, the movie has been declared tax-free in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Made on a small budget of 21 crores, the movie is already a decent hit at the Box Office. The WOM has been terrific and the movie is expected to have another good week at the Box Office as there will be an increase in screen count from 700 to 900 from today.
Neerja came as a blessing for Sonam Kapoor who was struggling to establish herself as a good actress in Bollywood. Neerja is one of the biggest hits of Sonam Kapoor both in terms of the collection as well critical acclaim.
