Everyone is going to Hollywood, my competition is becoming really less says Katrina Kaif.

Many actresses are now going to the west be it Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone but Katrina Kaif says she would prefer to stay in Bollywood to get good roles.

The beautiful actress said she would look this as an opportunity of getting good roles, when other actresses are busy in Hollywood. (Read – Katrina Kaif’s outfit during Fitoor promotion will make you go numb)

I have realised it recently that as everyone is going to Hollywood my competition is becoming really less. So, now is the time for me to sit here and by default get the roles which will become more available. I think now is the time to capitalise on the good characters,” Katrina told PTI an interview.

Katrina, who will be next seen in Fitoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor, said she would stay here and try to get risky projects like Fitoor.

“I am happy doing good roles here. ‘Fitoor’ is more of a risky film. It does not have the usual dance and song routine. And one needs courage to do and make a film like this,” she said.

When asked about the failure of her last movie, Phantom, she said, “You cannot help yourself from chasing those opening day figures but we have to come to peace with the fact that at times we have to chase for audience reaction which is a lifetime number.”

When asked about the experience of working with Tabu, she said, “Working with Tabu ji was beautiful. She is very easy. The best thing about her is she doesn’t take herself seriously. You can see the goodness of her heart, it is pure. Her being in same frame was the bonus for me.”

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by UTV Motion Pictures, ‘Fitoor’ is set for release on 12 Feb 2016 along with Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Sanam Re‘. The official adaptation of Charles Dickens The Great Expectations, Fitoor stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta and Tabu in lead roles.
