MS Dhoni- The Untold Story Review by Shubhra Gupta from Indian Express: The entire focus is on Dhoni who is shown as the sole match-winner from the Indian side. There are no dressing room scenes with Dhoni-as-captain strategizing with his team-mates. This film had potential to present us with the recent Indian cricketing story, warts and all. Sadly it’s more hagiography than biography.

MS Dhoni- The Untold Story Review by Ananya Bhattacharya from India Today: As a film, The Untold Story stays true to every bit of highs in Dhoni’s life. MS Dhoni, his biopic will make you believe, has done no wrong in his life. Over a span of more than three hours, the greatness of Dhoni plays in front of you.
And sure, that works wonders for the film.

MS Dhoni- The Untold Story Review by Saibal Chatterjee from NDTV: This is a listless cricket drama more intent on airbrushing the protagonist than on presenting a rounded, hard-nosed, neutral cinematic sketch of the man and the athlete. The film, though intolerably long, is competently executed. It has a stellar performance from Sushant Singh Rajput, some moments of hilarity, a dash of tragedy and a clutch of strong supporting actors.

MS Dhoni- The Untold Story Review by Sarita A Tanwar from DNA: Neeraj Pandey is such a brilliant story teller. His vision, clarity and structure makes Dhoni the film it is. For Sushant Singh Rajput, this is a career-defining role. In a bravura performance, he makes Dhoni so endearing on screen.

Sidhu [email protected]: MSDhoniTheUntoldStory Interval: Progressing well. Detailed but relatable biopic, with Sushant in the role of his life. He’s so good! #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory: Indulgent, yet interesting. Neeraj Pandey delivers another engaging film with a terrific Sushant at the forefront. #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory: Lots of little secrets about MSD’s life have been brought forward, and that is your reason to catch the film. #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory: It is lengthy, has tepid love tracks and not-so-cool VFX. Still, it comes together quite nicely at the end.

Rohit Jaiswal [email protected]: MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is a very Good film, I do agree 1st half is slow but dats ok, lot of moments in which ull get Goosebumps @itsSSR 2nd Half is a pure winner… Jis match a result jaante hai woh bhi jab dekh rahe they to nakhun chabane lagey… #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story Review: Final Words- This film completely belongs to Sushant Singh Rajput, who has given a stellar performnace in the movie. Not a perfect biopic in every sense but an entertainer nonetheless.

  1. Great movie, kind of misses the point of a biopic, but inspiring for indians nonetheless. Maybe 2/5 is being a bit harsh, specially after considering the theme of the movie. And guys, ITS BOLLYWOOD! I would be more open minded, but thats just my opinion!
