MOM, Spider-Man Homecoming Fourth Day Collection: Holds Well On Monday

MOM, Spider-Man Homecoming Fourth Day Collection: Both MOM and Spider-Man Homecoming holds well on their first Monday.

MOM Fourth Day Collection

As expected, positive WOM and good reviews are working in favour of Sridevi’s MOM. After a decent opening weekend with the collection of 14.4 crores, MOM holds well on Monday at the domestic box office. The movie recorded better occupancy compared to the opening day. However, the collections are less since the ticket rates are reduced on Monday. As per official numbers shared by Taran Adarsh, MOM earned 2.52 crores on its first Monday. After four days, the total collection of the movie stands at 16.92 crores.

Despite solid hold, MOM will find it difficult to enter the hit zone as the budget is on a higher side. The movie has been made on a budget of 40 crores. It needs to earn 50 crores to be called a box office hit, which looks almost impossible with the current trend. The other problem with the film is the competition from upcoming movies. MOM has to compete with Jagga Jasoos and Munna Michael on 14 July and 21 July respectively. Here’s a look at day-wise box office collection of the movie:

Friday: 2.90 crores
Saturday: 5.08 crores
Sunday: 6.42 crores
Monday: 2.52 crores
Total: 16.92 crores

Spider-Man Homecoming fourth day collection

Hollywood biggie Spider-Man Homecoming too managed to remain stable on Monday. After a solid opening weekend with the collection of 30.7 crores, the movie witnessed a drop of around 50% on Monday. A drop of 50% is generally considered good for superhero movies. As per early estimates, Spider-Man Homecoming earned around 3.7 crores on its first Monday. After four days, the total collection of Spider-Man Homecoming stands at 34.4 crores. Here’s a look at day-wise box office collection of the movie:

Paid Previews: 2.20 crores (Thursday)
Friday: 6.75 crores
Saturday: 10.25 crores
Sunday: 11.50 crores
Monday: 3.7 crores
Total: 34.7 crores

The movie is expected to hold well on weekdays and may cross 50 crores mark by the end of the first week. In India, it will be the second clean Hollywood hit of 2017 after Furious 8.
