MOM, Guest Iin London, Spider Man Homecoming First Day Collection: Once Again Hollywood Dominated Over Bollywood.
This was always on cards. As expected, Hollywood has once again taken a lead over Bollywood. We are talking about the movies released today and the reports coming so far are not good as far as Bollywood is concerned. Early reports suggest that Spider-Man Homecoming has taken a huge lead over MON and Guest Iin London. Both Bollywood movies are off to a poor opening while Spider-Man Homecoming has a decent start at the box office. MOM first day box office collection report
Released on around 1300 screens, Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna starrer MOM had a poor start. It witnessed around 15% to 20% in the morning shows. It witnessed decent growth in the afternoon and evening shows. The movie has received superb reviews from critics. Most of the critics have rated it as the best Bollywood thriller in recent times.
Early estimates suggest that MOM first day collection will be around 3 crores. The movie has also been loved by the audience hence there are good chances that it will show good growth over the weekend.
Guest Iin London first day box office collection report
The other release of the day, Guest Iin London had a poor opening. Released on around 900 screens, the movie recorded 10% occupancy in the morning shows. Despite being a sequel to a super hit film, Guest Iin London wasn’t really able to create any pre-release buzz. The reviews haven’t been positive either and it seems that the movie will struggle in coming days. The first day collection of the movie will be less than 2 crores. Another disaster of 2017.

Spider Man Homecoming First Day Collection Report
Hollywood film Spider-Man Homecoming has taken the best opening of the day. It recorded around 35% occupancy in the morning shows. It witnessed superb growth as the day progressed as the occupancy touches 60% in the second half of the day.
Spider Man is one of the most popular superhero franchises in India. The previous Spider-Man films have been a big hit in India and we can expect the same from this movie too. Early estimates suggest that the first day collection of Spider-Man Homecoming will be around 7 crores. It is a very good number considering its clash with two Bollywood movies.
So, the dominance of the Hollywood movies continues at the Indian box office. It is high time for Indian filmmakers to think out of the box and deliver some good movies.
