Zoya Akhtar wanted Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor to play the roles of Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan respectively but things did not work out (maybe for the better!). ZNMD is a special movie for everyone associated with it.
Delhi Belly
This Aamir Khan production is one of the few hits given out by Imran Khan but the movie was initially offered to Ranbir Kapoor!

You would be surprised to know that Arjun Kapoor’s role was first offered to Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and then to Ranbir Kapoor. Ironically, 2 States is the best movie of Arjun Kapoor’s career.
Bang Bang
This was the second movie offered to Ranbir that gave him a chance to work with then-girlfriend Katrina Kaif but he refused it. Imagine Ranbir doing some explosive action scenes.

Ranveer Singh made his debut with Band Baaja Baraat. However, it was first offered to Ranbir Kapoor who didn’t find the script interesting and rejected it.

Dilwale
Not many actors would have liked to miss out on a chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol at the same time but Ranbir passed it on to Varun Dhawan.
Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela
Ranbir made a debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Saawariya (2007). Sanjay was keen to cast Ranbir in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. However, the Kapoor boy rejected the movie due to unknown reasons. Ram-Leela was a game-changer for Ranveer.
Gully Boy
Zoya Akhtar wanted to cast Ranbir even though he rejected Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do. Once again Ranbir’s loss turned out Ranveer’s gain as Gully Boy emerge as a big hit. Ranveer Singh cemented his superstar status with this one.
