Khoobsurat Trailer : Sonam Kapoor is a fashion misfit in Fawad Khan’s Royal World
After Bewakoofiyan’ did no wonders at the Box Ofice , Sonam Kapoor is back with Khoobsurat. The film stars Sonam Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in lead roles. Supporting star cast of the movie includes some very big names like Ratna Pathak, Kirron Kher, Aamir Raza Hussein, Simran Jehani and Kaizad Kotwal.
Dr.Mili Chakravarty (Sonam) is a loud, clumsy and a sweet middle-class physiotherapist. She has the innocence of 16year old with a weird style sense from rainbow colored clothes to mismatched pants and even yellow socks with huge smileys. But the diva seems to carry it off effortlessly. The character has a huge resemblance to her real-self. Dr.Mili(Sonam) loves fashion , takes selfie all the time and speaks her mind out. She is seen saying in the trailer, “Gandhe Gandhe khayal aa rahe hai tumhe dekhkar” to Fawad Khan.
Mili’s life takes turn when she is sent to Rajasthan to treat the paraplegic Shekar Rathore, Raja of Sambhalgarh. Mili charms the Royal family on her stay at the palace. Twist happens, when the Prince Yuvraj Singh Rathore(Fawad Khan) who is already engaged to some other girl starts falling in love for Mili. Nevertheless, both fall in love with each other. Mili is extremely close to her loud Punjabi Mother ‘Manju’ (Kirron Kher) and constantly seeks her advice on everything.
At the end of the trailer, we see Mili and Yuvraj sharing a kiss. The chemistry between the leads seems quite good. Kirron Kher and Ratna Patak will definitely fill the space with their excellent performances.
‘Khoobsurat’ is the remake of Hrishikesh Mukerjee’s 1980 classic hit with the same name starring Rekha, Ashok Kumar, Dina Pathak and Rakesh Roshan. However, the remake seems like the combo of Old “Khoobsurat” and “The Princess Diaries”. Sonam’s look in the movie is styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor. Rhea has done a good job with Sonam’s quirky and crazy character’s dressing.
Directed by Shashanka Ghish, produced by Disney and Anil Kapoor Productions, Khoobsurat is slated to release on 19th September 2014.
