Kapoor & Sons 2nd Day Collection: Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, and Fawad Khan starrer family drama witnessed good growth on the second day.
After a decent opening day with the collection of 6.85 crores, Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra witnessed good growth on the second day. Though the evening and late night shows of the movie were affected by India-Pakistan match but still the movie managed to have a good day at the domestic Box Office. The movie collected 7.75 crores on Saturday to take the total collection to 14.6 crores. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Kapoor & Sons 1st day collection: 6.85 crores (4th highest opening day of 2016)
Kapoor & Sons 2nd day collection: 7.75 crores
Kapoor & Sons total collection: 14.6 crores ( 2 days collection)
Kapoor & Sons is the fourth highest opening day grosser of 2016 after Airlift, Ghayal Once Again and Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3. The movie has beaten the opening day collection of biggies like Jai Gangaajal and Wazir.
Released on around 1500 screens across the country, the movie witnessed good growth on the second day with the occupancy in the morning and noon shows was around 40%. The evening and late night shows were affected by India-Pakistan match. The movie is performing exceptionally well in big cities and metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.
The WOM of the general public is exceptional but the biggest issue remains that the movie has a limited appeal. The movie is targeted for the multiplex audience which will limit it to make huge lifetime collection.
Kapoor & Sons will surely witness superb growth today. The movie is expected to have a 24+ crore opening weekend. Kapoor & Sons is made on a budget of around 38 crores. A good opening week would be enough to recover the budget and make it a profitable venture for the makers.
