The movie witnessed a huge drop in its second weekend and earned around 2.75 crores. This is the worst second weekend recorded by a big budget movie is the recent times. The misery of the film can be judged by the fact that its second weekend collection is less than small films like Naam Shabana. Phillauri, Hindi Medium, MOM and Sachin.

This is Shah Rukh Khan’s worst box office performance in recent times. The lifetime collection of the movie will be less than movies like FAN, Chak De India and My Name Is Khan. This kind of trend clearly suggests that the film has been totally rejected by the audience. Jab Harry Met Sejal is one of the biggest flops of the year. While everyone was predicting it to cross at least 150 crores, the movie is now struggling to cross 70 crores mark.

Made on a budget of 80 crores, the movie comes as a nightmare for the distributors. This is the second consecutive Shah Rukh Khan movie when the distributors have incurred losses. Shah Rukh Khan is going through the worst phase of his career and the debacle of JHMS has only worsened the situation. He hasn’t signed any other film except Anand L Rai’s next which is slated for release on Christmas 2018. It’s high time for Shah Rukh to come up with some good movies as his contemporaries, Aamir, Salman and Akshay are having a great time at the box office.
