After a record-breaking opening day with the worldwide collection of 41 crores, Junior NTR and Mohanlal starrer Janatha Garage is holding well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On the second day, the movie was affected by Bharat bandh collecting 5 crores. On its first Saturday, the movie witnessed good growth collecting 6.5 crores in AP and Telangana.

With the first day gross worldwide collection of 41 crores, Janatha Garage has become the biggest Tollywood opener of 2016 and the second biggest opener of all time after Baahubali.

Janatha Garage was one of the most anticipated Telugu movies of 2016. It has created tremendous buzz before release thanks to the superb trailer and big names associated with it. The movie was released on over 2000 screens worldwide, that includes 1200 screens of Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, 480 screens of Kerala & Karnataka, 150 screens of rest India, 200 screens of USA and 197 screens of other international markets.

Talking about the overseas collections, the movie earned 6.34 crores at the U.S. Box Office. The worldwide gross collection of Janatha Garage till now is 74 crores. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

Janatha Garage has become the biggest Tollywood opener of 2016 beating Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Brahmotsavam which grossed Rs. 40 crores and Rs. 30 crores respectively at the worldwide box office on their opening day.

The movie expected to remain strong in the coming days as the WOM from the audience is positive. The reviews have been positive and the movie is expected to cross the 100 crores mark by the end of the first weekend (extended).
