Jai Gangaajal 2nd Day Collection – Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Jai Gangaajal’ witnessed limited growth on Saturday, collected 6.25 crores.
After a low opening day with the collection of 5.5 crores, Priyanka Chopra starrer ‘Jai Gangaajal’ witnessed limited growth on the second day. The movie registered the growth of around 10% on Saturday but that wasn’t enough to save the day. As per the trade estimates, the movie collected around 6.25 crores on the second day. ‘Jai Gangaajal’ now stands at the total collection of 11.7 crores which is low considering that it is released on 2600+ screens.

As expected the movie is performing well in mass centers like UP and CI. In multiplexes and metros, the movie remained low and is expected to be on the same lines.
Jai Gangaajal is the biggest release of 2016 in terms of no. of screens, even higher than ‘Airlift‘ which was released on 2200 screens. Ideally, the movie should have collected more than 15 crores in two days. The movie wasn’t able to create any buzz before the release thanks to the poor marketing and promotion. The opening could have been better if the promotions were carried on a large scale.

The big relief for Prakash Jha is that the movie is made on a constraint budget of 30 crores. A decent one week run would be enough to recover the budget. But to emerge as a big hit at the Box Office, the movie needs to show tremendous growth on coming days which seem highly unlikely now.
