This Friday the 13th September, we have releases of diverse genres. There is an adult comedy (Grand Masti), a thriller (John Day) and a horror (Horror Story).

Grand Masti:

This adult comedy is produced by Ashok Thakeria and directed by Indra Kumar. It is a sequel to 2004 hit Masti, also directed by Indra Kumar.

The starcast feature Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh reprising their roles from the prequall, along with Bruna Abdullah, Karishma Tanna, Sonalee Kulkarni,Kainaat Arora,Maryam Zakaria and Manjari Fadnis amongst others. It seems to be the remake of Hollywood’s American Union.
The movie is made on a budget of Rs. 35 Crores and will release on 2000+ screens.

John Day:

The producer of A Wednesday, Anjum Rizvi along with K. Asif is back again with a thriller John Day. It is directed by Ahishor Solomon. The movie is loosely inspired from a Spanish thriller Box 507.

The film features Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda,Vipin Sharma,Shernaz Patel as main characters. It is the story of a father who takes revenge of his daughter’s murder.
It is made on a budget of Rs. 15 Crores and will release on 900 screens.

Horror Story:

The last release of the week will be Horror Story. This horror project is produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Ayush Raina.The film stars Ravish Desai, Hasan Zaidi, and features the Bollywood movie debut of television actor Karan Kundra (known for his role in television serial Kitani Mohabbat Hai and Kitani Mohabbat Hai 2).
The plot revolves around a night spent by seven youngsters at a haunted hotel.The sequels of the film are already being planned. It is made on a low budget of Rs. 5 Crores and will release on 900 to 1000 screens.

Well, Grand Masti has an upper hand on others, but John Day can surprise us and Horror Story can entertain horror movie lovers.
