As expected, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 registered a good opening day at the domestic Box Office. As per the official figures, the movie earned 15.21 crores on the first day thus becoming the second highest opening day grosser of 2016 after SRK’s Fan. The movie has beaten the opening day collection of Baaghi and Airlift. (Read: top 10 opening day grossers of 2016)
The movie has also beaten the opening day collection of Rowdy Rathode (15.1 crores), Airlift (12.35 crores) and Brothers (15.2 crores), thus becoming the second highest opening day grosser for Akshay Kumar. Despite good opening day, Housefull 3 failed to beat the first day collection of ‘Singh is Bliing’ (20.67 crores) which was released on 02 Oct 2015. (Read: Top 10 opening day grosser of Akshay Kumar)
It would be interesting to see, how the movie performs in the coming days. We are expecting it to have 50+ crores opening weekend as the WOM from moviegoers is positive.
