Hindi Remake of Thuppakki titled Pistol : Akshay and Sonakshi to star in a remake to be directed by A.R. Murugadoss
It is officially confirmed now, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha will be playing the lead role in the official remake of 2012 Tamil Blockbuster “Thuppakki”. The Hindi version of the movie is titled as “Pistol”. This is the fourth time that Akshay and Sonakshi are working together after Rowdy Rathode, Joker and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaii Again. Pistol will be directed by A.R. Murugadoss who had also directed the original one. Thupakki had Vijay and Kajal in lead roles and was one of the biggest Tamil Blockbusters of 2012.
Vipul Shah has a fine tuning with Akshay Kumar in terms of success at Boxoffice. The actor – director pair has delivered hits like Aankhen, Waqt and Namastey London in past. Vipul and Akshay had plans for a sequel to Singh is Kingg or Namastey London but the actor- director pair has decided to go with the success tide as South Indian remakes are currently the biggest success mantra at Boxoffice. A.R. Murugadoss who will be directing this movie is a man behind this success mantra as it was his remake Ghajini in 2008 which started this trend and become the first ever movie to gross 100 crore at Box Office.
We just hope that A.R. Murugadoss replicates this success for akki.
