Director Tinu Suresh Desai‘s debut film Rustom is releasing on the big screens on 12th August 2016. The trailer and songs has received positive reviews from the public. Akshay Kumar will be seen as a navy officer, something he hasn’t portrayed so far on big screen. Akshay Kumar as Rustom is enough for his fans to get excited. 1. True Story of Nanavati Case
Set up in 1950’s, Rustom is based on famous Nanavati case in which a navy officer was tried for killing his wife’s lover. The movie’s basic theme is infidelity. Naval officer KM Nanavati killed his wife Sylvia‘s lover Prem Ahuja when he found out about them and then began the legal battle that made many headlines.
2. Akshay Kumar as a Naval officer
Akshay Kumar is one of the few actors in Bollywood who can easily pull off any kind of character. He has been a police officer before but it is the first time that he is playing a Naval Officer. He is looking dapper in the trailer and we can’t wait to see more of him in the movie.
3. Ileana D’Cruz in a vintage look
Ileana D’Cruz is looking truly breath-taking in her vintage look for the movie. We have seen her in this type of look in Barfi too. But this time it is going to be even better, the trailer sure seems to say so.
4. Heart-touching soundtrack
Rustom could not have a better soundtrack. The director has got the best composers and the best lyricist on board and they all have delivered. All the songs are lovely and worth listening.
5. Neeraj Pandey’s thrill factor
Neeraj Pandey has a knack of presenting the best thriller movies. His previous films like A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby are proof of this and this time, he is backing Rustom as the producer. We can’t wait to see how this movie is going to turn out.
