Abhay Deol, Jimmy Sheirgill and Diana Penty starrer Happy Bhag Jayegi holds well in its third week despite the release of Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira. No one would have thought that a movie with less known names will give a strong competition to biggies like ‘A Flying Jatt’, Akira and Rustom. As per the official figures shared by Taran Adarsh, Happy Bhag Jayegi earned 3.5 crores in the third week. Taran Adarsh tweeted:

The movie till now has earned 28.02 crores, thus emerged as one of the surprise hits of 2016. It has beaten the lifetime collection of other low budget movies like TE3N, Madaari, Sanam Re, Sarjit etc.
The movie has received huge appreciation from the audience and critics. This cross-border comedy has been loved by one and all. Happy with the success of the movies, the makers are planning a sequel of the cross-border comic entertainer.
