Haider Box Office Prediction : Low screen count and less hype as compared to Bang Bang would result in just an average opening day for Haider.
While everyone is talking about Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang it would be a big mistake to underestimate Shahid kapoor’s Haider. Vishal Bharadwaj is back again with one more Shakespeare adaption. After effortlessly adapting Macbeth and Othello into super successful Maqbool and Omkara respectively, the ace director of Bollywood has tried his hands on Hamlet this time.
While, Maqbool and Omakara remains Vishal Bharadwaj’s best movies till date, it would be interesting to see how Vishal carved Haider as a product.
The theatrical trailer of the movie received a good response from critics as well as the audience. The songs are very much on the lines of Vishal Bharadwaj other hits. Haider seems to have every element that we expect from Vishal Baradwaj movie. Performances of the lead actors as well as the set up of the movie looks interesting and promising. But, the fact remains that Haider is dark revenge drama and would require excellent word of mouth to survive big at Box Office. Haider is one of those movies which requires sensible brains and would not go good with masala movie goers.
Haider is releasing on around 1100 screens across the country. This is almost the one-fourth of the screens (4300 screens) acquired by Bang Bang. It is no rocket science to predict that Haider wouldn’t get an excellent opening at Box Office. Since, the hype and buzz of Bang Bang is sky-high, Haider has to wait for the first few days to get its prime audience at Box Office. If the content of the movie is good i.e. somewhere close to Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey, Omkara than it would emerge as one the biggest grosser for Vishal Bharadwaj as well as Shahid Kapoor.
