First Week Box Office Report: Force 2, Tum Bin 2 First Week Collection Report

Bollywood is going through a bad phase it can be judged by the fact that no movie after Diwali has been able to hit 10 crores mark. The demonetization of Rs 500, 1000 notes has been one reason but the fact is that the movies released in the last three weeks haven’t been appreciated by critics and audience. This week releases, Tum Bin 2 and Force 2, also faced the heat at the Box Office. Let’s have a detailed look at the first weekend Box Office report of Force 2 and Tum Bin 2.

Force 2 First Weekend Collection: Witnessed Good Growth

John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Force 2 had a decent opening weekend at the Box office. The movie opened on an average note, earning 6.05 crores on Friday.  Released on around 2000 screens, the movie witnessed good growth over the weekend. On its third day, the movie registered an occupancy of around 45%.

With the collection of 7.5 crores on Sunday, Force 2 stands at the collection of 20.40 crores at the end of the opening weekend.  These are good numbers considering that the movie is targeted to mass centres where the impact of monetization is big.

The opening weekend collection of Force 2 is higher than Force and John Abraham’s last solo release Rocky Handsome.

Tum Bin 2 First Weekend Collection: Witnessed Good Growth

Tum Bin 2 is a sequel to super hit film Tum Bin released in 2001. The makers of Tum Bin 2 have played it safe as the movie has recovered its budget (15 crores) through satellite, music and digital rights.

Talking about the first-weekend collection, Tum Bin 2 lost the battle on the first day itself earning only 0.8 crores. The movie managed to show some growth on Saturday and Sunday but the collections are too low.

Though the budget has been recovered, the movie needs to collect 15 crores to be a box office hit. Considering the current trend, even 10 crores looks a mighty task.
