The first poster of Udta Punjab is out and it is fiery as hell. The movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh
Udta Punjab is based on the rampant drug problem in Punjab. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the movie stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. Udta Punjab is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Sameer Nair, Aman Gill, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane. The movie is produced under the banner of Phantom productions and will be presented by Balaji Films.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also talked about her role in the movie. She said “I play a doctor in the film. It’s (the role) very simple and nice, good Samaritan kind of a thing. But the whole atmosphere of the film is so nice and dark that the role is very different.”
Shahid Kapoor plays a rock-star in the movie and he has grown his hair to shoulder length for this movie. His character is whacko and entertaining. Shahid has even shot an open-air concert with him performing atop a truck, shirtless. The song will be a combination of trance music and Punjabi beats.
Exciting right? The movie is slated to release on 17th June and the trailer will be out on 16 April.
