Fan Critics Reviews and Ratings : Shah Rukh Khan impresses after a long time

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited movie Fan is finally out in the theaters now. We have all been quite excited for the movie given the double role of Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer was very impressive and promised to deliver an exciting thriller. The reviews are out and we have a mixed reaction. Here are the detailed Fan Critics Reviews and Ratings-

Fan Review by Surabhi Redkar from Koimoi: Shah Rukh Khan finally offers something great on the acting front. His distinct characters of Gaurav and Aryan are impressive. The outrageously flawed script. This logic-defying drama is cringeworthy in the second half. Watch if you are a true SRK fan because after a long time he performs on-screen as an actor. If you were looking for a thriller then this will disappoint.

Fan Review by Manjusha Radhakrishnan from Gulf News: Shah Rukh Khan is splendid in his role as a self-made star. He slips into his own shoes, so to speak and doesn’t miss a beat. Just like in real life, Khanna is charming, polished and brimming with integrity. But Khan, who is in a double role here, falters while playing the disillusioned, flawed fan Gaurav. While there are sparks of brilliance shown by Khan while playing the Delhi-based fanboy, he goes overboard in several of the key scenes. Having said that, Fan is definitely watchable. It’s engaging to watch a powerful actor and his seemingly powerless admirer indulge in a twisted battle of wills.

Fan Review by Lokesh Dharmani from Masala: Shah Rukh Khan in a song-less, romance-less, heroine-less movie directed by the poet of middle-class Maneesh Sharma seems like a perfect recipe for a hatke film. I watched the film in happy anticipation and enjoyed it too. The first 30 minutes at least. Then, I realized I spoke too soon. The film that looked promising started to give a few ‘that’s-a-bit-much-bro’ moments that soon turned into ‘haha-kuch-bhi’ moments and by the climax, logic had stabbed itself in the eye with a blunt knife, leaving you miserable with the improbability of the situation.

Fan Critics Reviews: Final Verdict

As you must have concluded from the reviews above, even though Fan is much better than Shah Rukh Khan’s recent ventures like Chennai Express, Happy New Year and Dilwale, it did not succeed in meeting our high expectations. But it’s a treat for all Shah Rukh Khan fans.
