The controversy surrounding the movie Padmavati seems not to be dying anytime soon. The movie release has been delay indefinitely after CBFC sent back the film to saying that it was incomplete.  However, Britain’s censor board has cleared the movie without any cuts, and it is expected to hit the screens on 1 Dec 2017. Well, the trouble continues for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his team as Karni Sena has issued new threats now.

As per the latest reports coming, the Rajput organisation has issued new threats. Now, they claim to burn the theatres in the UK as well, if the movie is screened there.

“Har wo theatre jalega, jahan Padmavati ka show chalega (Every theatre screening Padmavti will be burnt),” Republic TV quoted Sukhdev Singh, a leader of the fringe outfit, as saying. “I myself wanted to go there to protest but the Indian government has confiscated my passport, so I will ask the Rajput community there to protest.”

The producers have clarified they will wait for approval from the India’s CBFC before its worldwide release. It would be interesting to see when the movie will finally get released. Let’s hope for the best.
