Dishoom 1st Day Collection: Varun Dhawan and John Abraham’s Dishoom has finally hit the theaters yesterday. The movie had a good response from the audiences.
There was much hype around the release of Dishoom, thanks to its strategic promotions and the result is also good. The movie was released in around 3000 screens throughout the country and it earned around 10 crores on the first day. This makes Dishoom the seventh highest opening day of 2016, beating Kapoor and Sons, Ki and Ka and Azhar. This collection is also the second highest for any Varun Dhawan movie after ABCD 2.

Dishoom 1st Day Collection: Occupancy Report
Dishoom had an overall occupancy of about 40% around the country. The opening was best in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The noon and evening shows has better occupancy as compared to the morning shows. We expect greater occupancy on Saturday and Sunday.
Dishoom 1st Day Collection: Official First Day Numbers
Dishoom had a good run in single screens and small centers. As the day progressed, even the multiplexes picked up speed. With Sultan and Kabali still going strong, Dishoom did not do so well on the first. But still it had the seventh highest opening day of 2016. The reviews of the movie are average and since there is no other major movie releasing until the next two weeks, Dishoom will do better business.
