Dilwale Vs Chennai Express Vs Happy New Year – Will Dilwale beat Chennai Express and Happy New Year to become biggest grosser for SRK?

Shahrukh Khan is all set to break Box Office records with his next magnomious Dilwale, slated for release this Friday. Dilwale is one of the most awaited movies of 2015 because SRK and Kajol are reuniting after a long gap of six years. The buzz surrounding the movie is sky high and it is expected to set the Box Office on fire. Let’s try to analyze if Dilwale can become the biggest Box Office hit for Shahrukh Khan.

Currently, Chennai Express is the highest grosser for SRK with the lifetime collection of 227 crores. Chennai express is followed by Happy New Year which has the lifetime collection of 204 crores.

In order to beat the lifetime collection of Chennai Express or Happy New Year, Dilwale needs to have a long run at the Box Office. The movie needs to have good content to sustain big as Bajirao Mastani is also releasing on the same day. Well, it is pretty much sure that Dilwale will get an opening of around 23+ crores. The movie will enjoy a good weekend with the collection of at least 65 crores.

Let’s have a look at all possible combinations for Dilwale Box Office performance.

If Dilwale WOM turns out to be good
Dilwale first day collection: 24 to 25 crores
Dilwale first weekend collection: 72 to 75 crores
Dilwale first week collection: 140 to 145 crores
Dilwale second weekend collection: 45 to 50 crores
Dilwale lifetime collection: 260 to 270 crores

If Dilwale WOM turns out to be mixed
Dilwale first day collection: 24 to 25 crores
Dilwale first weekend collection: 68 to 70 crores
Dilwale first week collection: 130 to 135 crores
Dilwale second weekend collection: 38 to 40 crores
Dilwale lifetime collection: 220 to 230 crores

If Dilwale WOM turns out to be poor
Dilwale first day collection: 24 to 25 crores
Dilwale first weekend collection: 60 to 62 crores
Dilwale first week collection: 100 to 105 crores
Dilwale second weekend collection: 30 to 35 crores
Dilwale lifetime collection: 170 to 180 crores

Dilwale should become highest grosser for Shahrukh Khan unless the content turns out to be really poor. Bajirao Mastani performance will also be an important factor in deciding the lifetime collection of Dilwale. If Bajirao turns out to be an epic film then Dilwale will find it difficult to sustain and generate big revenue at the Box Office in a long run.
