Dilwale falls flat on its 1st Monday
Kajol and Shahrukh Khan in Dilwale

Dilwale 3rd Day Collection – Shahrukh Khan and Kajol starer Dilwale registered the 3rd highest opening weekend of 2015.

After decent first two days at the box office with collection figures of 21 crores and 20.09 crores, Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale saw marginal growth on its first Sunday at the Box Office. As per the early estimates, Dilwale 3rd day collection is 24 crores with the growth of around 10% compared to the opening day (21 crores). The total collection at the end of the opening weekend is 65.09 crores.

Dilwale Box Office Collection

Dilwale 1st Day Collection: 21 crores (3rd highest of 2015)
Dilwale 2nd Day Collection: 20.09 crores
Dilwale 3rd Day Collection: 24 crores
Dilwale 1st weekend collection: 65.09 crores (3rd Highest of 2015)

With 65.09 crores Dilwale is the third highest opening weekend grosser of 2015 behind Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (101.47 crores) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (102.6 crores).

Dilwale is Shahrukh Khan’s 3rd highest opening weekend grosser after Happy New Year and Chennai Express. The movie is also the highest opening weekend grosser for Varun Dhawan, Kajol, and Kriti Sanon.

Dilwale is hugely affected by the clash with Bajirao Mastani. Bajirao Mastani has taken advantage of the single screens in mass circuits. In multiplexes and metros also, Dilwale is facing stiff competition as Bajirao Mastani is a better-reviewed movie.

The real test for Dilwale will start today as Bajirao Mastani has shown tremendous growth over the weekend. Moreover, the reviews and WOM are mixed compared to Bajirao Mastani which has received excellent reviews from critics.

It would be interesting to see how Dilwale performs in coming days. As per my prediction, the movie will struggle because of mixed WOM and superb performance by Bajirao Mastani.

Note: The figures mentioned above are the official numbers.
