Excited to work opposite Tom Cruise, Deepika Padukone fails to clear the audition for The Mummy.
Deepika Padukone has completed the shooting of her first Hollywood project XXX: The Return of Xander Cage and was looking to work in another Hollywood movie starring Tom Cruise- The Mummy. Turns out that Deepika Padukone fails to clear the audition for The Mummy!
According to a source of SpotBoye, “Deepika had auditioned for the role of an Asian princess that Tom thinks about in a flashback moment. Though it wasn’t a very big role, Deepika was very keen to work with The Mission Impossible actor. However, it can now be said that she hasn’t been selected.”
Apart from Deepika, Huma Qureshi also auditioned for the role. Buth both failed to make the cut. Sad to hear this, it would have been lovely to see a Bollywood actress be a part of The Mummy Reboot.
