Dangal First Weekend Collection Report: Beats Sultan, Become Fastest 100 Crore Grosser

Aamir Khan’s Dangal is having a dream run at the domestic Box Office. Within just three days of its release, it has crossed the 100 crores mark in India. The movie collected around 42.35 crores on Sunday. After three days, Dangal stands at the total collection of 106.95 crores. Let’s have a look at Dangal first weekend collection report.

Dangal First Weekend Collection Report: Day-Wise Numbers

On its opening day, Dangal witnessed an occupancy of around 70% and registered the second highest opening of 2016 & Aamir Khan’s career as well with the collection of 29.78 crores. The movie witnessed a good growth of around 17% on Saturday and earned 34.82 crores.

On the last day of the weekend (Sunday), the movie took full advantage of the Christmas holiday. It saw huge growth and earned 42.35 crores. At the end of the first weekend, Dangal stands at the total collection of 106.95 crores

With the collection 106.95 crores in three days, Dangal becomes the fastest 100 crore grosser of Bollywood. It has joined movies like Happy New Year, Prem ratan Dhan Payo, Dhoom 3, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. All these movies took 3 days to cross 100 crores at Indian Box Office.

Dangal also makes it to the list of top opening weekend grossers of Bollywood. It currently stands at third position with the collection of 106.95 crores. It has beaten the opening weekend numbers of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PRDP and Sultan.

Dangal becomes the 8th movie of 2016, 50th of all time and 5th of Aamir Khan’s to cross the 100 crores mark in India. The movie is having a dream run. The response from critics and audience has been terrific and we are expecting it to shatter more Box Office records in coming days.
