Dangal 13th Day Collection: Aamir Khan’s Film Creates History, Enters 300 Crore Club In Less Than Two Weeks

Dangal becomes the first movie to cross $200 million in overseas

Aamir Khan’s Dangal is simply unstoppable at the worldwide Box Office. It has achieved a Box Office feat no other Bollywood film has ever managed. The film has made entry to the 300 Crore club in just 13 days. With the collection of 9.23 Crore on its 13th day, Dangal has crossed the 300 Crore mark thus becoming the fastest 300 Crore Bollywood grosser. The movie stands at the total collection of 304.38 Crore.

Talking about the 13th-day collection, Dangal remained stable and witnessed a small drop of around 5% compared to Tuesday. The movie remained is still running with over 65% occupancy in the north Indian states. (Read: Top Bollywood grossers 2016)

The movie is on a record-breaking streak since the first day and becoming the fastest 300 Crore grosser is another feather in the cap. ‘Dangal’ has now joined the elite group which consist of biggies like PK, Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. So far, only four Bollywood movies have managed to enter the 300 Crore Club. Two each belongs to Salman and Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan: PK – 340 crore, Dangal – Rs. 304.38 crore

Salman Khan: Bajrangi Bhaijaan –  320 crore, Sultan – 300.5 crore

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is a real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari who went on to win gold and silver medals at Commonwealth Games in 2010.
