Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starer Wazir had a poor opening week at the domestic box office and with this January blues continues for Bollywood. It has been quite some time since when we have not seen a good new year start for Bollywood.
The expectations from Wazir were good considering the big names associated with the movie. But Amitabh Bachchan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and John Abraham were unable to avert Wazir’s failure. Wazir slopped and failed to make any impression after a decent opening weekend.
Wazir had a good first weekend with a collection figure of 21 crores, but the table turned on Monday as it witnessed a huge drop and collected only 2.55 crores. With 1.8 crores on the 7th day, Wazir now stands at the total collection of 29.5 crores.
Made on a budget of 45 crores, Wazir is on its way in becoming the first flop of the year unless it sees a huge turnaround in its second week.
Talking about Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani, both movies are almost out of theaters now. At the end of the 4th week, Bajirao Mastani has collected more than 180 crores while Dilwale is struggling to cross 150 crore mark.
