Box Office Report 10 Feb 2016 – Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ holds well, Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal Once Again’ strong at the domestic Box Office.
After a decent opening weekend with the collection of 23.25 crores, Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal Once Again‘ is holding strong at the domestic Box Office. The movie collected around 3.6 crores, 2.7 crores on Monday and Tuesday respectively to take its total collection to 29.55 crores.
As expected the movie is performing well in mass centers and small cities. The WOM and reviews have been mixed but the audience in small cities and mass centers have liked the movie. The movie is performing better than Sunny Deol’s last release ‘Singh Saab The Great’.
The movie is expected to recover its budget of 40 crores by the end of the second weekend. Being a sequel of the big of 1990, the expectations were high from Ghayal Once Again but the movie lost its creditability due to poor marketing and multiple delays.
Talking about Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’, the movie is still holding well and performing better than the last few week releases like Mastizaade, Saala Khadoos, and Sanam Teri Kasam. Airlift remains the first choice for multiplex audience despite the competition with other movies.
Airlift collected around 1 crore on Tuesday and Wednesday to take its total collection to 122.6 crores. The movie is now the second highest grosser for Akshay Kumar in India. The total worldwide gross collection of the movie is 200+ crores.
