Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is having a dream run at the domestic box office despite releases of four new movies this week. After a superb first week with the collection of 73.66 crores, the movie continued its domination in the second week.
All new releases have failed terribly which has given a good chance to Varun Dhawan starrer. Badrinath Ki Dulhania has a good second week till now. After earning 4.21 crores on its second Friday, the movie witnessed huge growth on Saturday and earned 5.9 crores.
With the collection of 5.9 crores on its ninth day, BKD total collection now stands at 83.77 crores. With the collection of 83.77 crores, Badrinath Ki Dulhania is now the third highest grosser for Varun Dhawan. Taking about Alia’s top grossers, BKD is at the second position only behind 2 states which has the lifetime collection of 104 crores.
Considering the current trend, we expect BKD to cross 100 crores mark by the end of the second week. The movie has a chance to become second highest grosser of 2017 by beating the lifetime collection of Jolly LLB 2.
BKD is Varun Dhawan’s 8th consecutive hit movie since his debut in 2012 (Student Of The Year). Alia Bhatt has also improved her success ratio. The actor has delivered just one flop Shaandaar) since her debut in SOTY in 2012. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt has emerged as to most bankable stars of Bollywood.
