The movie had a good opening as it earned 12.25 crores on Friday. This is a good start for the movie made on a medium budget.
Badrinath Ki Dulhania 1st Day Box Office Collection: Occupancy Report
BKD had a superb start in the morning shows as it registers 35% occupancy. As per box office India, the movie reported the best occupancy in Mumbai, Gujarat and CI. In north Indian circuits like Delhi and Punjab, the occupancy was in the same range as Jolly LLB 2.
The movie witnessed good growth as the day progressed and it was at its peak in the evening and night shows. The overall occupancy in the evening and night shows was around 60%.
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have once again proved that they are the next superstars of Bollywood. Both of them have yet again proved that they are capable enough to drive the film of their shoulders.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is the third highest opening day grosser of 2017 only behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2.
