The poor performance of new release has given a good chance to BKD which it has grasped with both hands. Talking about the second-weekend collection, Badrinath Ki Dulhania witnessed huge growth. The movie started the second weekend on an average note with the collection of 4.21 crores on its 8th day (Second Friday). It witnessed incredible growth on Saturday and earned 5.9 crores. On its 10th day, the movie witnessed further growth and earned around 6.5 crores. The total second weekend collection of the movie is 17 crores.

With the collection of 6.5 crores on second Sunday, Badrinath Ki Dulhania total collection now stands at 90.27 crores. Badrinath Ki Dulhania is currently the third highest grosser for Varun Dhawan only behind ABCD 2 and Dilwale.
Considering the current trend, we expect BKD to cross 100 crores mark on its second Wednesday. The movie has a chance to become second highest grosser of 2017 by beating the lifetime collection of Jolly LLB 2.
BKD is Varun Dhawan’s 8th consecutive hit movie since his debut in 2012 (Student Of The Year). Alia Bhatt has also improved her success ratio. The actor has delivered just one flop Shaandaar) since her debut in SOTY in 2012. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt has emerged as to most bankable stars of Bollywood.
The film will continue the do well because none of the Hindi releases have sustained well to do any major business during the weekdays. Badrinath Ki Dulhania will remain the first choice through out the weekdays too.
The film should become the highest solo Grosser for Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt by the end of third weekend. Like the first Wednesday, the film saw another major weekday drop on its second Monday but that is expected since the second weekend too was very good.
