With the collection of 29.7 crores, Azhar is the 9th highest opening week grosser of 2016. Azhar performed well in small centers but it was metros and multiplexes which rejected the movie from the first day itself. The movie is now finding it difficult to even recover its budget of 40 crores.

Considering the current trend it seems that the movie will end its Box Office journey with the lifetime collection of around 35 crores. Another disappointment for Emraan Hashmi despite his superb performance. Azhar is Emraan Hashmi’s 8th consecutive flop in a row.
