April 25, 2014 Releases: Kaanchi, Revolver Rani And Samrat & Co. | Movies This Week.

April 25 2014 will see three releases lined up to woo the movie lovers. Subhash Ghai’s highly awaited Kaanchi is one of them. Kangana Ranaut’s Revolver Rani has also gained some publicity due to Kangana’s last film Queen. Then, lastly we have Rajeev Khandelwal’s detective thriller Samrat & Co which can turn as a dark horse at the box office.

Kaanchi

Kaancj is a musical romantic drama which is directed and produced by showman  Subhash Ghai. It is presented under the banner of Mukta Arts Ltd. Subhash Ghai is making a comeback as a director after 5 years. He is known for introducing fresh faces to us and this time, it is Mishti who is making a debut in the film as leading female protagonist.

Ghai’s earlier discoveries were Madhuri Dixit, Manisha Koirala, Aishwarya Rai and Mahima Choudhary. All these beauties have made a mark in Bollywood. So, now its newcomer Mishti’s turn as she is also looking very impressive in the trailer.

The star cast features Mishti, Kartik Aaryan (Pyar Ka Punchnama and Akaash Vani fame), Rishi Kapoor as the antagonist, Mithun Chakraborty, Hazel Crowney, Rishab Sinha, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Adil Hussain. Mahima Choudhary and Isha Sherwani will be seen in special performances.

Revolver Rani

The action comedy is directed by Sai Kabir and produced by Raju Chadha. It is presented under the banner of Crouching Tiger Motion Pictures &Wave Cinemas.

The movie has Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das in main leads. Kangana who is receiving praises all around for her mesmerizing performance in her recently released film Queen will be seen in another never seen before avatar. She will be playing the character of a dacoit named Rani who falls in love with a struggling actor played by Vir Das. Vir Das has also made a mark in Bollywood with his comic roles in the films like Delhi Belly, Go Goa Gone and recently released Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

Samrat & Co.

The movie is a suspense thriller which is directed by Kaushik Ghatak and produced by Kavita Barjatya. It is presented under the banner of Rajshri Productions Pvt Ltd. It is slated to release on April 25 2014 and will compete with Kaanchi, Yeh Hai Bakrapur and Revoler Rani.

Rajshri Productions who is well-known for making family films (like Hum Apke Hein Kaun, Hum Saah Saath Hein, Vivah) in the past, is coming up with a mystery thriller for the first time.

Samrat & Co Movie Poster:

The film will have Rajeev Khandelwal (last seen in Ishq Actually) and debutant Madalasa Sharma in main leads. Rajeev is playing the role of a private detective who will have to solve a mysterious case in the film.

The plot of the film revolves around a private detective Samrat (Rajeev Khandekwal) who gets involved in mysterious case when he meets a girl (Madalasa Sharma). This case leads him to a labyrinth. How he manages to solve this case is the crux of the film.
