Andaz Apna Apna Remake: The official remake of Andaz Apna Apna will go on floors in December. The movie will be directed by either Vikas Bahl or Vikramaditya Motwane.
Andaz Apna Apna remake has been in the news for a while now. Initially, there were reports that Rajkumar Santoshi will direct the remake and Salman and Aamir will reprise their roles from the original. Now, we hear that Phantom Films have bought the official rights of the movie.
According to a report by a leading daily, Phantom Productions have officially bought the remake rights of Salman Khan – Aamir Khan’s cult classic, Andaz Apna Apna from Preeti Sinha, the daughter of producer Vinay Sinha. The production house is looking to rope in an in-house director to come on board for the film.
The movie will be directed by either Vikas Bahl (Queen and Shaandaar fame) or Vikramaditya Motwane (Lootera fame), both of them are in-house directors of Phantom Films.
A source close to Phantom Films confirmed, “The script is locked. It’s a fun script developed by Vivek Soni and Hardik Mehta who won a National Award this year for his non-feature ‘Amdavad Ma Famous’.
