Amitabh Bachchan has recently finished his upcoming film Wazir and is now shooting for Te3n.
“Between January and March, I’ll be working on Shoojit Sircar’s film in Delhi. Currently, I am shooting for ‘Te3n’. Once I finish shooting ‘Te3n’, will start work for Shoojit and then ‘Aankhen 2’. I have one more project that I can’t talk about right now.”
By the end of December, he will be working again with Shoojit Sircar. Perhaps, he will be working in television too. After that he will be working in the sequel of Aankhen. The first part was directed by Vipul Shah while the sequel will be directed by Anees Bazmee. There were rumors that Abhishek Bachchan will also be part of the sequel, but Amitabh cleared the air that Abhishek is not a part of Aankhen 2.
But he did not speak about the star-cast of Aankhen 2 as the final cast and the narration of finally story has not happened. He has just got the concept which he liked a lot and gave his dates to Bazmee. He has been told about the cast but he doesn’t know whether the actors have been signed or no.
Amitabh Bachchan also spoke about the new generation of Bollywood actors. He feels Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Karan Johar represent India and Indian films globally. They have made it possible for films to have such a wide reach. It is a proud moment when people outside India speak about Indian films.
He also spoke about how good Deepika, Ranbir, Priyanka, Alia and Kangana are. He said –
“The youngsters are so good, that i make a lot of mistakes while working with them. I cannot pick one of them because they are all so talented and so good in their very first appearance. I don’t think i could do what the young actors are doing right now. I am still learning on how to present myself. I admire their brilliance and I admire their confidence. Everyone of them are brilliant. We cannot find mistake in their work despite observing their work very minutely. I can’t find a mistake when i watch a film starring Ranbir or Deepika or Ranveer Singh in Bajirao. There is Priyanka, Alia, Kangana, look at the kind of work they do, it is unbelievable. I feel proud to say that this is the generation which will take our industry ahead.”
There were also reports that Amitabh was offered a role in Robot 2.0, but he denied all this. He revealed that “Shankar had come to me and he wanted me to play the villain. I called Rajini. He said, ‘people will not accept you as a villain, so don’t do it’. I said ok.”
His next flick Wazir will release on 7 January 2016.
