After doing mainly rom-coms, Alia Bhatt doesn’t want to be identified with one genre of cinema.

Alia Bhatt is not just about beauty. She has proven her acting prowess in Highway. But apart from that movie, she has mainly done romantic comedies. But according to her, she wants to do all kinds of movies. In short, Alia Bhatt doesn’t want to be identified with one genre of cinema.

Alia will be next seen in Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi. When Alia was asked whether she is changing her preference of movies, she said “Not at all. I want to make this very clear. I don’t want to be one of those actors who is identified with one genre of cinema. Of course, I want to do realistic films, but I also want to do films that are completely the opposite. I want to do massive masala movies.”

Alia Bhatt has got an interesting wish-list. She wants to do an out-and-out comedy where she can try out her comic timing. She says people feel that Shaandaar was a comedy movie of mine, but I never saw the film as comedy. Her career is going at a very good pace and she feels so too. She says “I’m in no hurry. I just hope it lasts. Fingers crossed!”

Alia is currently busy with the shooting of ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, which is the sequel of Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the sequel also features Varun Dhawan and they all are having a lot of fun while shooting for the movie. She says “It’s like a family reunion. Trust me, apart from the same faces, there’s no similarity between Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath… It’s interesting to be a part of a love franchise; we’ve never had that before.”
