Akshay Kumar is all geared up for his next release Airlift, opposite Nimrat Kaur. The movie is based on world biggest human evacuation during the Iraq-Kuwait war in 1990. Bollywood’s superstar says that he got emotional while shooting for Airlift. (Read: 10 Best Movies of Akshay Kumar)
Akshay was promoting the movie last night in Kolkata and when asked about his shooting experience, he said, “This did happen to me. I got a little bit choked once. I think this will happen to anyone, who cares for the people and country because the film is about someone who cared for his country and sacrificed a lot. I think when the people will watch it they will also feel it.” When Akshay Kumar was asked whether Airlift is more of a war film, the actor clarified,
“It’s not a war film and it’s not about destruction. It is just the story of how people were rescued from that war zone”
Akshay further expressed his view that real-life heroes get unnoticed. His hopes are high that at least now people will remember his character and the brave man’s proud story. Before the buzz for Airlift had made a good noise, the protagonist was un-noticed by masses. When asked why he is more into action films these days, the actor said, “I want to keep testing my abilities and will soon come up with

Akshay Kumar’s Airlift is one of the most awaited releases of the year. The movie has created a huge buzz after it presented an impactful trailer. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the movie is slated for release on 22 Jan 2016.
