Akira 5th day Collection: Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira is holding well on weekdays, earned 2.4 crores on its fifth day.
After a decent opening weekend with the collection of 16.65 crores, Sonakshi Sinha’s Akira is holding well on weekdays at the domestic Box Office. The movie witnessed a drop of just 40% on Monday. On Tuesday, the movie falls further but the good sign is that it is still holding its ground. As per the official figures shared by Taran Adarsh, Akira earned 2.4 crores on Tuesday. He tweeted:

With the collection of 2.4 crores on Monday, Akira stands at a total collection of 22.45 crores. Overall, the movie had a decent opening weekend with the collection of 16.65 crores. The movie has become the 21st highest opening weekend grosser of 2016. It has beaten the opening weekend collection of Sarbjit, Rocky Handsome and Fitoor.
Sonakshi Sinha’s action entertainer has beaten the opening weekend collection of female-centric movies like Mardaani (14.75 crores), NH 10 (13.3 crores) and However, it failed to beat the opening day collection of Jai Gangaajal (5.5 crores) and Neerja (22.01 crores).
The reviews and WOM aren’t positive and it is certainly hurting the movie at the Box Office. The biggest relief for the makers is that the movie has already recovered around 50% of its budget through satellite and music rights. The movie just need 40 crores to be in a safe zone.
