Ajit Singh Deol, Abhay Deol’s father and Dharmendra’s younger brother passed away yesterday evening in Mumbai.
Ajit Singh Deol had also featured in Bobby Deol’s debut movie ‘Barsaat‘. The actor-director had been a part of many Punjabi films other than Hindi movies like ‘Khhotte Sikkay‘, and ‘Meharbaani‘.
Ajit Singh Deol was admitted in the Breach Candy Hospital after he had gall bladder complications since the past one month. His condition worsened during the past three days and the whole family was at his bedside for days and nights. According to a source,” His condition worsened a couple of days back and he was admitted to Sunridges hospital in Juhu, Mumbai. Unfortunately, despite the best medical efforts, he couldn’t be saved and passed away at 6.20 pm.”
His son Abhay, brother Dharmendra and nephew Sunny were by his bedside when he breathed his last. The funeral took place at Pawan Hans, Juhu at ten in the morning today. Bollywood was represented by Annu Kapoor, director Anil Sharma, Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgn, Anees Bazmee and Shashi Ranjan.
