Airlift First day Collection: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ opened to good response specially in big cities, multiplexes and metros.

As predicted by us, Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur starrer ‘Airlift’ got off to a good start at the domestic Box Office. ‘Airlift’ opened low in the morning shows with an occupancy of around 35% but as the positive reviews began to pour in the movie witnessed solid growth in the evening and late night shows. As per the official reports, Airlift first day collection is 12.35 crores. This is a good start considering the niche of the movie. The movie performed best in big cities, metros and multiplexes like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Jaipur. In small cities and mass centers, Airlift faced still competition from Kyaa Kool Hai Hum 3 which also got off to a great start. In fact, Kya Kool Hai Hum 3 was better than Airlift in mass centers of Maharashtra, U.P and Rajasthan.

The WOM from the audience has been terrific. The reviews from critics have been excellent. The movie will surely show big growth on Saturday and Sunday. A 40+ crores opening weekend in certainly on the cards. Moreover, the movie has a chance to take advantage of Republic Day holiday to give a big boost to Box Office collections.
