Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s big budget historical drama film Padmavati has been in controversies ever since it has been announced. With just 15 days left for the release date, the controversies surrounding the movie have failed to die down. The protest against the movie is at the peak and its release is certainly in danger.

Amidst the controversy, the Indian Film and TV Directors Association (IFTDA) along with CINTAA, other film industry members have extended their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his film. The Indian Film and TV Directors Association has called for a 15 minute silent protest in the favour of the film.

The industry is vocal in supporting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. Yesterday only, Salman Khan backed the filmmakers as he said Bhansali will never show anyone in bad light. The actor added that one should let the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) take a decision.

Following Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez too has spoke out in support of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Padmavati. Speaking to a news channel, Jacqueline said that a film is a form of art and everyone has the freedom of speech. She added that everyone has a freedom to make what they want to and if anyone has an issue with it, they should not watch the film. She believes that violence is wrong and this issue can be resolved in better ways.

Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. The movie has been made on a budget of around 180 crores. In case of ban, the industry has to face a huge loss.
