Ajay Devgn in Action Jackson movie still

Ajay Devgn’s action comedy Action Jackson is releasing today worldwide. The movie is one of the most talked about movies of the year primitively because of Ajay Devgn’s association with Prabhu Deva. However, the reviews are out and to no surprise the critics have thrashed the movie. Of all the reviews out, Action Jackson hasn’t even received a positive review so far. According to the reviewers, Action Jackson is Prabhu Deva’s weakest movie till date. Prabhu has tried to mix his previous mix his previous movies Wanted, Rowdy Rathode and R.. Rajkumar and failed terribly to do.

Action Jackson Critics Review : Skip This Traumatic disaster
Ajay Devgn’s look in Action Jackson

Let see what the top critics of the country has to say on Action Jackson

Action Jackson Critics Review by Mohar Basu from Koimoi.com : Action Jackson matches up to neither Prabhudheva’s film making nor an Ajay Devgn film. It is an extreme downer for those expecting a full on action-packed ‘masala’ film. With a done to death plot and an absolutely nothing new to offer, the only thing that this film latches onto is Ajay Devgn who maintains his swagger well enough. I am going with a 1.5/5 for Action Jackson.

Action Jackson Critics Review by Bollywood Hungama New Network : Prabhu Dheva, seems to have gone all out to infuse every possible element in this film and has tried to mount it on the same canvas as that of WANTED, ROWDY RATHORE AND R… RAJKUMAR! The sad part is that this time round, he fails miserably and falls flat on his face. Going by the looks of it, it seems like Prabhu Dheva was in a tearing hurry to recreate the same magic of the aforementioned films. Despite ACTION JACKSON being a Bollywood film, the look and feel of the film is that of loud South Indian films. While the film drags in the first half endlessly, the second half too barely has anything in it to hold the audience’s attention. The film has no script whatsoever and has been put together haphazardly on the editing table glued together which non-sensical graphics and animation.

Action Jackson Critics Review by Manjusha Radhakrishnan from Gulf News : There’s no easier way to say this: but Ajay Devgn’s latest film is traumatic and is an endurance test of the worst kind. There’s no redeeming feature in Action Jackson, a film that’s purely self-indulgent. Skip it.

Action Jackson Critics Review by Lokesh Dharmani from Masala : So if your idea of good action is shoving a sharp knife into someone’s mouth, down his throat cutting his intestines. If your idea of good humour is a Sonakshi Sinha desperate to see a naked Ajay Devgn. And your idea of good music is songs likeKeeda, Chichora Piya and Surya ast Punjabi mast, then, one, I am FURIOUSLY judging you. Two, I AM STILL JUDGING YOU!!

Action Jackson Critics Review by Sneha May Francis from Emirates247: ‘Action Jackson’ also has the most annoying background score, where character names or eerie sounds play in loop every time a face appears on screen. What can I say, it’s just one of those movies that need to be left unwatched.

So, whats your reaction guys. Truly speaking, i was expecting Action Jackson to be a disaster ever since the trailer was out. Prabhu Deva has taken things for grated. Prabhu must realize that he is not Salman Khan who can make anything and still work at Box Office.

What are your reviews guys. Do share with us.
