Director Aanand L Rai says that Shah Rukh Khan is the most loved actor in India.
Cheeni Kum and Ki & Ka director Aanand L Rai is all set to begin his project with Shah Rukh Khan and he is all praises for the man. Rai believes that Shah Rukh Khan is the most loved actor in India. Despite having seen so much of superstardom, SRK remains rooted and honest.
During an interview with Filmfare, Rai said this about Shah Rukh Khan “He has always done that. He is the most loved actor in our country with the way he brought his ordinariness to the prime and become household name and a superstar. The best part about him is that even if you meet him after so many years of great films, so much of success, you still feel you’re meeting a Delhi boy. So that’s something he has been able to retain which is very big compliment. Yes, he is playing a dwarf, we have to start working. Right now we are scripting. But meeting that man makes you believe that nothing can beat experience. He is such an experienced human being. He has seen life not just as an actor but as a person.”
Rai also said that SRK is such a large hearted and intelligent man and knows how to make a person ‘feel important’. When asked about how he came up with the idea of the story of a dwarf, Rai said for him, it was a story of a man who is just three feet one inch tall. That is it and nothing beyond it. Further he said that he casted SRK for this role purely because nobody understands ordinariness better than him.
